Wing Skating with Hernán in Northern Brazil..

Hernán has some ace IG Wing Skating pictures, so we caught up with him to ask him a bit about what he does - this is what he said..

Hi! My name is Hernán, 39 years old. I live in a wind paradise in northern Brazil.

There are a few parking lots and the beach were we can wing skate. Unfortunately those places get covered by sand very often so we're used more to going in the water.

I started winging two years ago..

I use my Carver surfskate with very loose trucks so I can wing skate in smaller areas

I use my Cyclone Dakine wing - 4 meters. And I protect the wingtips with duck tape because is very easy to scratch them with the concrete.

I am working on my flow for the moment, not specifically jumping tricks or maneuvers .

And for jumps I go in the water.

I like to go with low wind and I love to practice all kinds of transitions.

Now you ask me, is the first time I think about wing skate competitions. It sounds great idea!

I wonder what kind of events could be done. Very interesting!

I would say in a cold place, not necessarily qualified as a winter game (better to be dressed)

Maybe in the Netherlands?

I m currently in Buenos Aires, a big city so I am going to look out for spots at the city!
