WSMag: Name, age and where you are from / where do you wing skate and how long have you been doing it?

Jason: Jason Hall, 52yo, currently living in Boothbay Harbor, ME.  Recently moved to Maine from Maui, HI just a year ago.  I learned wing foiling when it first came to Maui a few years ago.

WSMag: What kind of weather and wind conditions work best for you?

Jason: Sunny weather preferred, wind in the high teens to low 20's.

WSMag: What type of equipment do you use – board and wing type?

Jason: I use a inexpensive cruiser board with big soft wheels, I use typically my 4 meter wing.

WSMag:

What sort of camera and mounts do you use? What works best for you?

Jason: I use a standard selfie stick tripod with my iphone.  Probably not the best as wind tends to jiggle the camera.  I also have a GoPRo 10 I set on the ground on a tripod, but also use it with a Pro Standard mouth mount.

WSMag: Are there any manoeuvres, jumps or tricks you are currently working on?

Jason: No tricks, jumps or manoeuvres currently trying, just out to have fun and avoid getting hurt.

WSMag: Have you any advice for someone wanting to get into the sport?

Jason: Find a large open parking lot, no cars, as few trees lining the area as possible.  The wind will get turbulent around trees that will flip your wing.  Also helmets and pads are recommended if you're just starting.

WSMag: Would you like to see wing skating going more mainstream with global events and races/competitions possibly? If yes, how do you see that working and where would the 1st event be held?

Jason: Not necessarily, it's just an alternate to wing foiling for me until the weather warms up here in Maine. IG: jasonihall

WSMag: Thanks again for your time Jason - all the best!
