Existing windsurf style waist harnesses offer a way of relieving your arms when Wing Foiling, and can also be used in Wing Skating too but are not for everyone, especially if you have no harness experience from windsurfing or kitesurfing.
The Wing Claw promises relaxed winging, without any trapeze. We tried the claw.

The principle is very simple: Two firm but padded hooks are attached to the wrists via wide Velcro fasteners. With these you should then be able to hook onto the boom or the handles of the wing.

After a few hours of practical testing, our verdict is mixed. Hooking in is quite uncomplicated, especially with wings that have a boom system or wide-sewn handles - at least you can get along with them faster without prior knowledge than with a harness. At least the forearms and fingers are noticeably relieved by the wing claw, if you often have problems with thick forearms or finger cramps, you can certainly lengthen your session with it. However, the Velcro fasteners are not particularly comfortable on the wrists once you hold the full pull of the wing over the hooks.

The system also has other downsides: The metal hooks hang down a bit, which causes problems when hooking and unhooking wings with tightly sewn handles. In addition, one has the problem that you unintentionally hook yourself every now and then, for example when changing your grip during manoeuvres.
Wing Claw - the conclusion:
The advantage of the wing claw is limited to a slight relief of the forearms and fingers. If you have problems here and want to do without a trapeze, you can consider the claw. Especially if you are out in strong winds and or long sessions. However, the system is not suitable for relieving the arms or back, and there are also noticeable restrictions when changing grips in manoeuvres.
